Export & heat-treated pallets

Heat treated ISPM15 export pallets for South Coast exporters

If your freight leaves the UK on solid timber, it has to meet ISPM15. We supply heat-treated, correctly marked export pallets, crates and cases through Southampton, Portsmouth and Poole — plus plastic and presswood options that avoid the regulation entirely.

Why it matters

Non-compliant wood packaging stops shipments, not just paperwork

ISPM15 is the international phytosanitary standard for solid wood packaging. Border authorities can hold, fumigate, re-pack or refuse a consignment on the strength of the pallet under it. That risk is entirely avoidable.

Compliant timber is heat treated in a kiln until the core of the wood reaches the required temperature for the required time, which kills pests and larvae. Treated packaging is then marked with the recognised treatment stamp identifying the producer and the treatment used.

We supply export pallets already treated and marked, so your loading team is not left checking stamps on the dock. If you are exporting for the first time, tell us the destination country and the type of goods and we will talk you through the practical requirements before you order.

  • Heat-treated pallets in UK standard, Euro and bespoke sizes
  • Correctly marked timber, ready for border inspection
  • Export cases, crates and skid bases for machinery and high-value freight
  • Plastic and presswood alternatives outside ISPM15 scope
  • Regular supply for exporters shipping weekly through South Coast ports
  • Advice on specification, bracing and load security for long sea journeys

Export options

Three routes to compliant export packaging

Timber, plastic or moulded fibre — the right answer depends on weight, destination, reuse and how much the packaging itself is allowed to cost.

Heat-treated timber export pallets stacked at a port

Heat-treated timber pallets

The default for most exports: strong, repairable, familiar to every handler, and compliant once heat treated and marked. Available in standard footprints or built to your load.

Moulded plastic pallets suitable for export without heat treatment

Plastic export pallets

No timber means no ISPM15 obligation and no treatment marks to check. Ideal for repeat closed-loop shipments, hygiene-sensitive goods and air freight where cleanliness matters.

Nestable presswood pallets for air freight and export

Presswood pallets

Moulded wood fibre, exempt from ISPM15, light enough to help with air freight chargeable weight and nestable so empties take up a fraction of the space.

Plywood export cases and heavy timber crates being banded

Export cases and crates

Plywood cases and heavy timber crates built to your dimensions with internal bracing, edge protection and banding, on heat-treated skid bases where required.
